If you want to preach the truth without fear or favor, without compromise in this perilous time, you must find means of income for your family and ministry.
Ministry is not what we do for a living, it is not a job but a work of sacrifice. This mentality of full-time ministers cannot work or do business has to be changed, that mentality has expired. Ministry is not what we do to get or make money but what we spend our money for.
My father was a national Evangelist in his denomination, a full-time minister without working or doing business and he was doing fine financially before he went to the Lord. When we built our house, it was the popular Prophet Obadare that came to commission it. So if I say as God called me as a full-time Evangelist, I should be expecting financial support from people? No, things have changed now in this end time.
When God called me into full-time ministry, I asked God to give me a business that would take care of my marriage and ministry and I made up my mind that nothing will be sold in my ministry, everything coming from the ministry must be free - free Bible, free Christian materials, free programs with free food, free CD messages and so on. God has been faithfully helping us.

When I got married, and my wife was pregnant with our first child, I had to make soap at the Berger Bus stop in Lagos to sell by the roadside to take care of my wife and to get money to buy airtime at a cyber cafe to preach on Facebook. Then in 2013, I organized 3 months of Online Bible Training, more than 300 people from different parts of the world registered free of charge. Many of the people were my followers on Facebook and they could pay N2000 for registration and N5000 for a certificate, at least to get money for the internet. But it was a free 3 month free Bible training Program. Some of the brethren who attended the program are now pastors and ministers now.
And then my wife and I had no internet laptop. We had to trek to a cyber cafe to do the ministrations and send weekly materials to the participants online. And by the grace of God now, we are not only ministering on Facebook but also on different radio stations in Nigeria free of charge.
Listen, a genuine minister of God makes money from business or from a job to do ministry free of charge and not making money from ministry.
Making money from the ministry is unbiblical and ungodly. Jesus never made money from His earthly ministry, all the apostles never made money from God's work but they spent their lives. Only prosperity preachers, sugarcoated mouth preachers which we call Motivational Speakers are those who make money from the ministry. The Bible describes them in 1 Timothy 6:5 as useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of GAIN (they think God's work is a means of making financial gain like business). You must withdraw yourself from such.
If you want to make money from ministry or if you are making money from your ministry as a pastor, music minister, drama minister, evangelist, or prophet, you are not doing God's but your own business with no eternal rewards and your belly is your god.
Some will say, "But no money to do the work of the ministry" I will tell you, go to a building site to work as a laborer there and use the little to preach if truly God called you. You must be ready to die for your calling, to do anything for your divine calling.
Dear young minister or you that have the call of God upon your life, you must make money from business or career to do God's work but never make money from God's work. Those who make money from God's work are fake workers.
"Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition."
"But you, Oh man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness."
1 Timothy 6:6-9, 11
God bless you.
